Grey mullet on the fly

This lovely fly-caught estuary mullet put up a spectacular fight. The catching fly was a size 8 grizzle bass streamer fished with a steady, slow retrieve. Mullet can be very finicky, but when in the mood will take a fly. Keeping the fly moving steadily and slowly seems to be key, with either a figure-eight retrieve, or long, slow strips working for me.
