After mullet fishing Edward had to leave to go back up to Galway. William and Rona borrowed the Timoneys' boat for the afternoon and went out to do a spot of dab fishing. William caught two dabs and a lovely dragonet and Rona caught a dab. Fishing was abandoned when several very large basking sharks appeared. They circled the boat for some time. One shark passed so close beneath the boat it must have been an inch away from brushing against the hull.
